The Earth begins to shake violently, whirlwinds are ravishing the land. People are whisked away, mountains are crumbling, civilazations disappear into caverns of ruptured earth, terrifying screams haunt the air… 3 hours of tumultuous quaking… complete destruction and yet, YOU survived; you and a few others.

Thick heavy black darkness now envelopes the land, survivors crying, howling…

The Book of Mormon re-enactment of the destruction plays over loud speakers while 500 blindfolded young men and women try to feel what it must have felt like to have really been there.

Thunder, rocks rending, buildings collapsing and then, complete darkness and silence. The crowning event of their while experiance at Moroni’s Quest The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints youth encampment is about to unfold - After what seems like an eternity, they are instructed to remove the blindfolds.

In the distance they see him… Jesus!

He is coming towards them.

Tears start to flow.

He calls them by name and takes them one by one into his arms.

The music begins.

I originally wrote this song for my Book of Mormon - Warroirs of the Wind album. In 2000, out local stake was preparing for their first Moroni’s Quest and asked if they could use this song. It has become well loved because of the sacred experience that can be associated with it. I hope you love it too. We look forward with such great anticipation and excitement for when He comes again.
